| Hey Arden 14 July 2007 |
Onu Tarmo |
Hey Arden,
We are all back from the cottage where we were unable to see how you
were doing which was a drag. Everyone up at the lake were asking
about you. Kersti, Toomas, Leyki, Miia send you there best.
Everyone was asking how you were when we saw you and were so amazed
on how well everything went.
Well I just wanted to say Hi and I hope we can get together with you
and your
whole family soon and enjoy the nice weather. Missy and I tried to
talk Hillar
and Katrina, Leyki and Miia into coming down to visit you and all of
us in the
area since they are not coming to Spordipaev. I think it may have
worked and
hopefully you Mom and Dad should hear from them soon. We told them
about
Musikfest and they might come down for the second weekend of that.
I hope they come that family is alot of fun to be with. Also when
we were up at the cottage Heli had a great time and she told us
toward the end of the trip that she wants to live there with Arden,
Elise, Iivi, Kiia, Leyki, Miia and Kersti and nobody else not even
Isa and Mommy!
Hope things keep getting better and better for you!
Love you!

help your heart make such great progress and now your parents are
giving you what has got to be the second best medicine known to all
kids: laughter on the beach!! Relax, enjoy, smile, and keep the

have our fondest admiration !!!! |

Onu Tarmo |
I know it must stink to
be in the hospital again but its great to hear that your heart is
doing even better than they expected. Being put on medication for
the rapid heart beat is just another hurdle I'm sure you'll
overcome. You have to roll with the punches when your body is put
through something like this and you've been a real trooper through
it all. It would have been nice to have been down at the beach but
you'll have plenty of time to do that in the future, you just have
to concentrate on getting better.
We'll see you when we get back from the cottage.
Love you!

to it, give us a call and we can hang with you. Keep your chin
up... this will all get better.

Dear Arden: a last
message of congratulations - and thanks for prayers answered - that
you are home safely. Wow! While you no doubt feel like it has been
a LONG time, in the scheme of things you were out in a wonderfully
short period of time. You are now not only a wonderful, healthy and
very "uhke" young woman, you are also a powerful example of the
great things that can be done in medicine to help out cardiac kids.
We belong to a group called "Children with Heart" in our community
that organizes events to raise awareness - and FUNDING!!! - for
ongoing research to tackle new problems and help even more kids.
From what little I know about you and your family, I am sure that I
am communicating with a few more powerful advocates tonight. Your
website alone tells me that you and your family have used your
situation to bring awareness to the need for funding, research and
support of families.
Anyway, all the best to you. When you see Hillevi Paul in Lakewood
this summer, ask her if it really true that her husband's nickname
was once Pambu. She is a loyal spouse and will deny it. But we
know better. We are so pleased for you and your family. Enjoy this
summer. You have surely earned it!!!!!

well. The fifth grade made everyone so proud and we know that you
were with us in spirit. Your sister did a great job and we all got
to see you and your family in that great photo of all of you in the

Dear Arden: The family,
especially Hannah, her Mom and I, are so glad to hear about the
continued progress. We are so happy to know things are going well.
We just knew that Dr. Del Nido must have been you surgeon. He is
the best!!! He worked on Hannah's heart as well (different issues).
There is not a finer surgeon or a kinder person.
You are doing all the right things and it sounds like your excellent
"patient" skills have been paying off. Outside your windows you and
your parents may have seen the lights of Fenway Park where the Red
Sox have been playing (not tonight due to the rain). But you are
the champion in Boston this week and this month,
in fact!

All the best from Hannah and me. |

Kate, Adrienne and I are really glad to see you are doing so well.
And the results from your first Echo are OUTSTANDING!! I have seen
many adults go through this type of open heart surgery and not be
nearly as brave and courageous as you have been. This will make you
a much stronger person. You have endured so much more then most
other kids your age. Keep on thinking of the positive and getting

Way to go! Hooray for
you! I'm so elated (notice the spelling word?) that you got your
tubes out. Fifth grade just isn't the same without you. I hope you
like your poster that the girls made for you from your social
studies projects. You accomplished so much this year -- really
recognized it when I started handing back all the fabulous projects
you all made. I'm a thief -- I admit it! I helped myself LIBERALLY
to some of the projects to save as samples for next year's class.
Couldn't help myself because they're sooo good! I'm looking forward
to visiting you back home soon, and playing some Yahtzee or some
cards, your choice!

I love you. Yesterday I had a great time. I liked your plane.
Even though it was a little crowded. I loved your room. You are so
strong that I can't believe it. If you don't like sleeping all the
time then think of it this way. When you sleep you can't feel any
pain like when you are awake. I love you and wish you can get
better soon. I wish those chest tubes could come out soon. They
looked really uncomfortable. I love you. I left all of the goodies
I gave to you on your desk, with a note on top of it. It is a
little messy though. I love you. Your the strongest person I
know. I can't wait to see you again. I know you'll be tired, but
if you want to talk to some one for a second you can
always call me. I can't believe that you are doing so well. You
are stronger then the men on the show World's Strongest Men. I love
that I made your day by just being there. Your grandparents were
nice too. I wouldn't have flown with any one else. Well maybe I
would, But there in the top spots. I love you and really hope you
get better. I love you and wish you could get better soon.

Hello again Arden: I
wonder what room you are in. Our Hannah (and us) spent a lot of
time in 619 of 6 East. She ended up doing very well in that room
(and is giving me advice to give to you now). From the pictures we
have seen, you look fantastic!!! I am sure that you are just
waiting to be up and about and doing everything. But mind the
doctors, and make sure that you are taking time to rest! You are
making terrific progress every day. You are a true "kangelane" if
this Esto can still use his phrases. I have read all the postings
and I can see how many people are sending their wonderful prayers
and vibes your way! It helped Hannah and I know it is helping you.
We are with you.
By the way, tell your folks to seek out the Hoodsie cups in the

freezer there, but they did. Make sure they give you one too.
All the best. Joudu!

Hi Arden, Keep your chin
up, it will get better! I'm hoping your tubes come out soon...
then you can smile with relief. Each day think of the positive
changes, like, getting up and sitting by your bed, then, drinking,
food (that chocolate pudding sounds good) and walking... next it
will be those annoying tubes and then you'll be running around
before you know it and all of this will be a distant memory... We
are keeping you in our thoughts. The girls are wishing for tarp
water slides with you and the rest of the kids. Can you believe it
was about a year ago when you kids made up that game... All the
moms were worried what your dad would say about the soggy lawn... He
was pretty cool about it, of course, he was happy that he was
playing golf at BGW. He was also
ok because you kids were having such a great time! You know, your
dad was probably secretly wishing he could go down the slide and
fling through the yard on the kid made slip and slide...
