Hey Arden

Onu Tarmo

Hey Arden,
We are all back from the cottage where we were unable to see how you were doing which was a drag.  Everyone up at the lake were asking about you. Kersti, Toomas, Leyki, Miia send you there best.  Everyone was asking how you were when we saw you and were so amazed on how well everything went.
Well I just wanted to say Hi and I hope we can get together with you and your
whole family soon and enjoy the nice weather.  Missy and I tried to talk Hillar
and Katrina, Leyki and Miia into coming down to visit you and all of us in the
area since they are not coming to Spordipaev.  I think it may have worked and
hopefully you Mom and Dad should hear from them soon.  We told them about
Musikfest and they might come down for the second weekend of that.  I hope they come that family is alot of fun to be with.  Also when we were up at the cottage Heli had a great time and she told us toward the end of the trip that she wants to live there with Arden, Elise, Iivi, Kiia, Leyki, Miia and Kersti and nobody else not even Isa and Mommy!
Hope things keep getting better and better for you!
Love you!

Barry & Sharon Bartakovits Hi Arden,
What a very special and amazing girl you are. So sorry to hear about your setback. We have been following your progress daily, and you have been in our thoughts and prayers. Think positive & keep smiling that beautiful smile. Your courage is simply amazing. You have our fondest admiration !!!!
Hey Arden

26 June 2007

Onu Tarmo I know it must stink to be in the hospital again but its great to hear that your heart is doing even better than they expected.  Being put on medication for the rapid heart beat is just another hurdle I'm sure you'll overcome.  You have to roll with the punches when your body is put through something like this and you've been a real trooper through it all.  It would have been nice to have been down at the beach but you'll have plenty of time to do that in the future, you just have to concentrate on getting better.
We'll see you when we get back from the cottage.
Love you!
Onu Tarmo
Hope to see you soon!!!

Hi Arden,

I'm so glad that you can come home soon.  Jackie and Emilie can't wait to see you.  The girls were really bummed that you went back to Boston and weren't feeling so great.  Maybe later in the summer we can all get together and do the beach thing.  Let's make sure you are feeling much better.  When you get home and you are feeling up to it,  give us a call and we can hang with you. Keep your chin up... this will all get better.

Love,
Marlene

Dear Arden,  Greetings from Children's Hospital Boston.  Our son Will is really
staying about one week behind your amazing pace and we expect to be discharged in the morning.  We just have an x-ray in the a.m. and with clear results we will be packing up and making our way home.  Will seemed to have those chest tubes in forever, they finally came out last night and he is a new man.  He is still on lots of pain meds and adjusting to the new meds of apirin and lasix.

We think of you of often and think your courage is amazing!  Out little guy is
likely to remember very little of this whole journey, yet you have made the
journey with the courage and grace of a young lady!  You have our admiration!

May our next email to mom and dad and you be from home. With our love,

Dear Arden: a last message of congratulations - and thanks for prayers answered - that you are home safely.  Wow!  While you no doubt feel like it has been a LONG time, in the scheme of things you were out in a wonderfully short period of time.  You are now not only a wonderful, healthy and very "uhke" young woman, you are also a powerful example of the great things that can be done in medicine to help out cardiac kids.  We belong to a group called "Children with Heart" in our community that organizes events to raise awareness - and FUNDING!!! - for ongoing research to tackle new problems and help even more kids.  From what little I know about you and your family, I am sure that I am communicating with a few more powerful advocates tonight.  Your website alone tells me that you and your family have used your situation to bring awareness to the need for funding, research and support of families.

Anyway, all the best to you.  When you see Hillevi Paul in Lakewood this summer, ask her if it really true that her husband's nickname was once Pambu.  She is a loyal spouse and will deny it.  But we know better.  We are so pleased for you and your family.  Enjoy this summer.  You have surely earned it!!!!!

Hannah's Dad, Martin

Hey Arden I am so glad you are finally home, and out of that hospital. I hope
you liked all the decorations. My momma was there helping to decorate, but I
couldn't, cause I was in school. Me and Emilie made the big banner for ya
though! Hope it cheered you up. You must be so relieved that the hard part is
over, and you're back in your nice, cozy house. Now hurry up and recover!
I can't wait to see ya!
love always,

Your sister did a great job and we all got to see you and your family in that great photo of all of you in the water. It looked great along with the other family photos from your classmates - Mrs. Parent made a great IMovie that played for everyone to see.

Another message from NJ

5 June 2007

Aino-Liis Tootsov Hello Arden!

It's your little pal Kristjan here (with a little help from Mom).  I just wanted to send a big toddler "HELLO!!!" and let you know that I LOVE looking at all your photos (the one with you and the yummy cupcake is my favorite!)!  I keep trying to take over the laptop to look at them! I even tried helping to type this message, but it was tough because I don't know how to READ!!  :)  But I do know how to send...

Lots of love and hugs,

Kristjan
What a Smile!

Bonnie and Rich Weidner (Osmegen) We check up on your progress everyday to hear the good news.  Tell your dad to stop horsing around with in the hallways with your wheelchair before he hurts himself.  Of course, what better place to do so. You continue to get stronger and stronger - as you can tell, the Lehigh Valley misses you.

Hannah Suuberg and her Dad Dear Arden:  The family, especially Hannah, her Mom and I, are so glad to hear about the continued progress.  We are so happy to know things are going well. We just knew that Dr. Del Nido must have been you surgeon.  He is the best!!! He worked on Hannah's heart as well (different issues). There is not a finer surgeon or a kinder person.

You are doing all the right things and it sounds like your excellent "patient" skills have been paying off.  Outside your windows you and your parents may have seen the lights of Fenway Park where the Red Sox have been playing (not tonight due to the rain).  But you are the champion in Boston this week and this month,
in fact!

Uhke ja vaga jahe!

All the best from Hannah and me.
Hi Arden,

4 June 2007

Debbie Schenkel I'm thrilled to read about your progress!  You look wonderful!  Did you beat your dad at "Sorry?"  Tomorrow's our last day of school.  You didn't miss a thing today at Sports Day.  Did you hear that we got rained out and had to have it in the gym?  It was an abbreviated schedule, but I think the kids made the best of it!  Your sister is going to do an awesome job tomorrow in chapel reading your lovely thoughts.  Can't wait to see you when you get home!
Love and Kisses,
Mrs. Schenkel
Doing Great!!

4 June 2007

Dan Edgar HI Arden,

Kate, Adrienne and I are really glad to see you are doing so well.  And the results from your first Echo are OUTSTANDING!!  I have seen many adults go through this type of open heart surgery and not be nearly as brave and courageous as you have been.  This will make you a much stronger person.  You have endured so much more then most other kids your age.  Keep on thinking of the positive and getting home for the summer to be with family and friends.
Love,
Dan Bam, Kate and Adrienne

Hi Arden!  We're really happy to hear (and read, and see pictures...this website is such a great idea!) that everything went well with the surgery and it looks like you're whizzing through recovery!  Great job!  I see you have a Webkinz- my daughter Maili just got one and she looooves it so much, she is addicted!   She likes to play Cash Cow the best, and Wheel of Wow.  Zingos Pop is good for getting lots of money but it can get boring after like 20 levels.  Have fun with it!  We hope to see you at laager!

love, Siiri, Bob, Maili and Aavo McClafferty

4 June 2007

Rose Dear Arden,
I'm soooo very happy to hear that you're tubeless and doing your laps - Mrs. Miller will be happy about that, too.  I saw the poster Mrs. Schenkel made from your projects - amazing work.  Well, believe it or not, today is sports day and it is raining.  Guess we'll be sporting in the gym.  I'm getting ready to move the books so maintenance can take the shelves apart.  The library will be so different next year.  Elise &
Wade will tell you about it.  Better yet, you'll have to come for a visit and see the difference. We're all so impressed with your progress and so proud of how you've come through it.  Keep going, kiddo, you have thousands behind you for support.
Mrs. Emig

3 June 2007

Debbie Schenkel Way to go!  Hooray for you!  I'm so elated (notice the spelling word?) that you got your tubes out.  Fifth grade just isn't the same without you.  I hope you like your poster that the girls made for you from your social studies projects. You accomplished so much this year -- really recognized it when I started handing back all the fabulous projects you all made.  I'm a thief -- I admit it! I helped myself LIBERALLY to some of the projects to save as samples for next year's class.  Couldn't help myself because they're sooo good!  I'm looking forward to visiting you back home soon, and playing some Yahtzee or some cards, your choice!
Love and Kisses,
Mrs. Schenkel

Jackie G Hello Arden,
I hope all your visitors yesterday cheered you up. Just so u know, every single day, I look at this website, and I am always so excited to see new pictures of you and hear all the new improvements that you made. If you look at the very beginning of the website, it's so amazing to see everything you have overcome since then. Just think, the other day you were just able to sit in a chair, and today you're walking and almost ready to go home. I can't wait until you're home so I can see you again! You made it this far, so stay strong for the last few days!

History Rewritten - New Midnight Ride

3 June 2007

Dave Schindler OK. Pay Attention. History is poised to be rewritten! Paul Revere's great, great, great, great, great, great grandson, Paul Revere XXI, was spotted late last night, high in the steeple, waiting for the important signal. Will it be one light or two? His trusty mount, Rob, is saddled and ready for the ride. As reliable a horse that has ever been entrusted such an important task. Everything is set! The clock ticks down! Tension rises to a fever pitch! The world is watching & waiting! When we hear Paul riding through the streets of Boston yelling for a nation the hear? "The Tubes are Out! The Tubes are Out!"
Wonderful

Dear Arden,
I love you.  Yesterday I had a great time.  I liked your plane.  Even though it was a little crowded.  I loved your room.  You are so strong that I can't believe it.  If you don't like sleeping all the time then think of it this way. When you sleep you can't feel any pain like when you are awake.  I love you and wish you can get better soon.  I wish those chest tubes could come out soon. They looked really uncomfortable.  I love you.  I left all of the goodies I gave to you on your desk, with a note on top of it.  It is a little messy though.  I love you.  Your the strongest person I know.  I can't wait to see you again.  I know you'll be tired, but if you want to talk to some one for a second you can
always call me.  I can't believe that you are doing so well.  You are stronger then the men on the show World's Strongest Men.  I love that I made your day by just being there.  Your grandparents were nice too.  I wouldn't have flown with any one else.  Well maybe I would, But there in the top spots.  I love you and really hope you get better.  I love you and wish you could get better soon.
Love,
Katrtina

Martin and Hannah Suuberg Hello again Arden:  I wonder what room you are in.  Our Hannah (and us) spent a lot of time in 619 of 6 East.  She ended up doing very well in that room (and is giving me advice to give to you now).  From the pictures we have seen, you look fantastic!!!  I am sure that you are just waiting to be up and about and doing everything. But mind the doctors, and make sure that you are taking time to rest!  You are making terrific progress every day. You are a true "kangelane" if
this Esto can still use his phrases.  I have read all the postings and I can see how many people are sending their wonderful prayers and vibes your way! It helped Hannah and I know it is helping you.  We are with you.

By the way, tell your folks to seek out the Hoodsie cups in the Nourishment Room.  I don't know why they taste better from the freezer there, but they did. Make sure they give you one too.

All the best.  Joudu!

I love you and wish you a great recovery.  I have thought about you all the time.  You will always be in my thoughts.  I wish your tubes were out today, but oh well. You will get them out soon don't worry.  I have almost everything packed to visit you.  I just have to pack my lunch.  I can't wait to see you.  I have been counting the days.  Now I just have to eat, sleep, wake up, get ready, fly, and then I can see you.  I can't believe you started to walk all ready. You have done so well handling this.  You are a hero to me.  Lately I have been saying that if she an have the surgery I can do this, when I don't want to do something.  I love you.  Your my best friend on earth.

Marlene G. Hi Arden,  Keep your chin up,  it will get better!  I'm hoping your tubes come out soon... then you can smile with relief.  Each day think of the positive changes, like, getting up and sitting by your bed, then, drinking, food (that chocolate pudding sounds good) and walking... next it will be those annoying tubes and then you'll be running around before you know it and all of this will be a distant memory...  We are keeping you in our thoughts.  The girls are wishing for tarp water slides with you and the rest of the kids.  Can you believe it was about a year ago when you kids made up that game...  All the moms were worried what your dad would say about the soggy lawn... He was pretty cool about it, of course, he was happy that he was playing golf at BGW. He was also
ok because you kids were having such a great time!  You know, your dad was probably secretly wishing he could go down the slide and fling through the yard on the kid made slip and slide...

love,
Marlene
